Jason Teller, founder and managing partner of DHD Ventures, is based in Charlotte, NC. He has more than 20 years of experience in real estate development where he has been instrumental in the planning, construction, and operation of regional malls, mixed-use developments, and retail centers. His expertise is extensive, having been involved each facet of the development process from the right to build through construction, management and leasing.

This pervasive knowledge gives Jason a distinctive perspective and lays the groundwork for innovative solutions in all real estate markets. Jason’s achievements include construction, rehabilitation, and management of a variety of commercial and residential properties. Jason has presided over projects ranging from $1 million to $500 million, and maintains his method for success regardless of the size of the project. Throughout his career, Jason has adhered to a philosophy of determination and diligence, while building excellent client relationships to ensure the continued success of DHD Ventures.

THOMAS MASASCHI, co-founder and managing partner of DHD Ventures, is based in Rochester, NY. Tom brings more than 15 years of experience in real estate where he has overseen the development of complex projects, ranging from commercial and office to mixed use developments and student housing.

Prior to founding DHD Ventures, Tom spent 4 years with Pyramid Companies, the largest privately-owned developer of destination centers in the Northeast. At Pyramid, Tom was responsible for all facets of real estate development from general construction management to leasing of destination shopping centers; his accomplishments include 20 regional shopping centers, the most notable of which is a 3-million square foot mall outside of New York City. In 2000, Tom left Pyramid to focus on expanding and managing his real estate portfolio of over 1600 residential units and 500,000 square feet of office and retail space.

This combination of experience in both residential and commercial real estate markets provides his expansive knowledge base and contributes to the success of DHD Ventures. Tom obtained his bachelor’s degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology where he was an All-American hockey and lacrosse player, and is a member of the RIT Sports Hall of Fame. Tom is married with two sons and has lived in Rochester for more than 20 years.

BRIAN CILLIAN, joined DHD Ventures in its Charlotte, NC office in August 2011. He is a graduate of Miami University in Oxford, OH where he earned a B.S. in Marketing and Entrepreneurship (2005) from the Farmer School of Business. Brian specializes in the acquisition and development of retail shopping centers, single-tenant retail projects, multifamily developments and mixed use centers. Brian also oversees land acquisition for new development and investment property sales.

Prior to joining DHD Ventures, Brian was the Vice President of Development and Acquisitions for Norcom Properties in Charlotte and was successful in developing commercial projects and shopping centers throughout the Southeast. He has a real estate broker’s license in North and South Carolina and is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and Urban Land Institute (ULI).

TRAVIS MCVICKERS joined DHD Ventures in 2011, where he effectively manages the right-to-build, site development, and construction of company-owned projects. Travis brings more than 15 years of experience in both construction and development management in a variety of projects, including commercial, residential, and office buildings.

Travis has successfully managed projects ranging from tenant build-outs to an 850,000 square foot manufacturing facility. Travis a graduate of the William States Lee College of Engineering at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He is a Licensed General Contractor and Professional Land Surveyor in North Carolina. Travis resides in Stanley, NC with his wife, son and daughter.

JON MCCONNELL joined DHD in 2016, bringing more than 15 Years of commercial real estate experience including investment banking, development, structuring and distribution of debt, and direct loan originations. Jon has expert-level knowledge of construction loans, acquisition loans, refinancing, term loans, and revolving lines of credit across all asset classes for both institutional and middle market real estate developers. As Director of Finance, Jon is responsible for managing lender relationships and raising both debt and equity to foster continued company growth.

Prior to joining DHD, Jon worked for large, national commercial banks, debt capital markets platforms, a private equity-owned national real estate platform and a public real estate developer. During his career, he has placed or originated approximately $8 billion in commercial real estate debt.  Jon received his undergraduate degree at Vanderbilt University, and his MBA at the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University.
